Winter Hair Trends for 2019

Ladies all know how much fun it can be to change up your hairstyle. Whether it’s a new cut or just a different updo you haven’t tried yet, almost nothing is more exciting than going out in public to debut your new look. That new hairstyle can be a total reinvention sometimes when you’re feeling stuck or you’re embarking on a new phase of your life and want to show the world. Our hair speaks volumes and everyone who sees us is listening. So as we approach this winter season, lets take a look at what’s trending in the world of hair.

Bobs

Have you been thinking about going short for a while but struggling to pull the trigger? Fear not, the bob is way in this season, so the time is ripe for you to get to the hairdresser and chop off some of that length. Getting a bob might seem drastic and you might feel like you’re trapping yourself into a static hairstyle, but the bob is actually rather flexible. Whether you style it straight with an elegant curve on the end to frame your face or you leave it wavy and natural looking, a bob can be whatever you want it to be. Slicked back looks are also in this season so don’t be afraid to throw some gel in your hair and achieve that edgy look you’re going for.

Pixie Cuts

I know what you’re thinking. If you thought the bob was a drastic move, then you probably think a pixie cut is simply out of the question. But the shorter the better this season! Especially that slicked down look again making big waves this year.

Curls and Waves

If you are blessed with a naturally curly head of hair, let it loose this winter. Generally lower humidity in the colder months helps with some of the frizz factor but work that frizz in your favor. A brushed out curly look is all the rage. If you don’t naturally have the curls to work with, then it might be time to invest in a nice curling iron to style up a some elegant waves or tight curls.

Half Up, Half Down

You might be a little apprehensive about this one, as it tends to remind us all of the mid 90s, but fashion, as we all know, is cyclical and this look is coming back. Don’t be afraid to spice this style up a bit, go for an extra high pony (another very “in” look this season) and curl the ends of the bottom layer to add some flare.

Coiled Buns

Whether high or low, you can’t go wrong with a coiled bun this year. No need to spend extraordinary amounts of time trying to get that perfectly sleek, professional-looking bun. Just pull your hair into a pony and twist it up and secure it with some bobby pins. The twisted, wrapped looked is all the rage.

Bonus – Unique Pins and Clips

We often spend a lot of time trying to hide our bobby pins and make our hairstyles look effortlessly positioned. But it’s time to toss out that mentality and show off the tools that hold our hair in place. Pick up some bedazzled bobby pins and some fun and fancy clips to toss in your hair and give it some razzle-dazzle!
